Zapp / Samsung

Samsung TV remote, on your iPhone

Control a Samsung smart TV from your iPhone over Wi-Fi: power, volume, channels, apps and a keyboard. Free remote, one payment for the extras, no subscription.

One payment of $12.99. Never a subscription.

How it connects

Zapp connects to the television over your Wi-Fi network using Samsung’s own remote protocol — the same one the Samsung app uses. The TV issues a permission the first time and Zapp remembers it, so you are only asked once.

What you have to do once

  1. Put the iPhone and the television on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open Zapp and let it find the TV, or add it by IP address.
  3. Accept the "Allow" prompt that appears on the television screen. That happens once.

What you get on Samsung

What it will not do

Saying this plainly is the point: a remote app that promises what it cannot deliver wastes your evening and earns a refund. If the answer above is no, it is genuinely no.
